For many years of my life, I did not take very many photographs. The few times that I did, I ended up spending a lot of money developing photos that did not come out as well as I would have liked.

Thankfully, technology solved the problem with digital cameras. I can take all of the pictures I want for free and simply delete the ones that do not come out. Since I have a memory card that can hold thousands of photographs, the only limitation seems to be battery life. Luckily, I keep two spare batteries in my camera bag. Remembering to keep them charged, on the other hand, is still an issue.

I keep almost every photo I take, just in case I might want to use part of the photo someday. After upgrading to a higher-megapixel camera, I have started deleting more and more photos, especially if the subject is out of focus. It is hard to justify using five megabytes of storage for a blurry photo. I pick the best photos, make a copy of them, touch them up digitally, and upload them to Flickr.
